Intro

Embracing the Loft’s Bones

Named after the Kamboja (frangipani) trees that surround a serene Buddha statue at the center of the site, Villa Kamboja is more than a home, it's a calm, contemplative space designed around presence and nature.

Set on a quiet plot in Beraban with sweeping views of rice fields, the villa is oriented to fully embrace this landscape. The main axis of the building faces the view, blurring the line between indoor and outdoor. A large open garden, with a sunbed deck beside the pool, ideal for slow mornings or golden-hour relaxation.

The design responds deeply to Sandrine and Stéphane’s lifestyle. It includes generous open-air spaces for gardening, soft transitions between rooms, and a rooftop on the second floor that frames the horizon of rice field view, offering a different kind of quiet escape.

Materiality leans into tropical minimalism, warm textures, natural finishes and subtle detailing. All forming a personal and intentional environment.
